Mountains are dangerous. Chutemap is a planning and orientation aid, not a safety device. Slope angles, ski runs, routes, imagery and snow information can be wrong, out of date or missing. They do not show avalanche danger. Always check the local avalanche bulletin, conditions and terrain yourself, carry proper equipment, and turn back when in doubt. You are responsible for your decisions.
The app
Chutemap is provided by Gustaf Müller, Alte Gockhauserstrasse 6, 8044 Gockhausen (Zurich), Switzerland, "as is". We try to keep it accurate and available but don't guarantee it. Map providers can change or stop their services. Battery use and GPS accuracy depend on your phone.
Your content
Routes you record or import remain yours. If you sync them, you allow us to store them so we can provide the service. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from the use of the app or its maps and data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Map data and licences
Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL); ski runs and lifts are derived from OpenStreetMap via OpenSnowMap, and the method used to build them is available on request. Elevation © Mapterhorn. Imagery © Esri, Maxar, Earthstar Geographics; contains modified Copernicus Sentinel-2 data. Topographic maps © their national mapping agencies as credited in the app. Ski tour descriptions are from camptocamp.org, written by its contributors and published under CC BY-SA; each tour links to its original page.

If you downloaded Chutemap from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live still apply.
